Thread: In tray exercises - admin role

Hi,

I am currently recruiting for an administrator after the last 1 lasted only a few months.

Was wondering if any could give me any examples of any good in tray exercises to use during the interview process. Nothing to complicated but just to ensure they are the right fit?

Have you a person spec for the administrator that you could link the exercise to - for example if there is a requirement for priooritisation place 8 tasks on the desk and ask them to put them in the order your would expect them to address them in. Extra points for delegation and feeding back with notice. Typing exercise to test the contruction of a professional letter - spreadsheet - data entry test ....does this help you?
