Thread: Hello All

Literally signed up a few minutes ago. Looks like an interesting forum. I'm David B., originally from across the pond and I've been working as an HR Officer for many years, in several countries. Now resident in London. I consider myself an HR generalist, but have a particular interest in areas: learning and development, recruitment and promoting well being in the work place. Some on you who follow research in the field will know that stress remains the number one factor in determining employee absence and illness and contributes in a major way toward work place inefficiency. Interestingly, several studies also suggest that work place stress in the UK is much higher than in some other nations. It's a topic I like to follow but I also follow HR research more generally. I'm currently editing a Learning and Development best practice manual as well.
