Interview - using a employment tribunal case

    Hi,

I have an interview tomorrow and on my search for company info I came across an employment tribunal with them from 2008.

I know the company is looking to become more corporate and they have a new found HR team.

My question is whether I should bring it up in the interview with the view to showing them that I have researched the company and can see that they are moving forward?

Or would it best not to bring it up because it's not something positive about the company.

    Please advise.

    Thanks

Hi Cat, congrats on the interview!

If you have more detail on the case, perhaps you could tell them how you would have dealt with it, how it could have been resolved?

I think discussing it shows you have done your research, but if I was interviewing you and you brought it up, I would test your approach.

    So be prepared to answer...

    Good Luck!

    Thanks for that.

I have the case update which I have read and has some useful information. I'll see if it's relevant tomorrow and maybe bring it up.

The woman interviewing me has only been there 4 months so would be interesting to know if she knows all about it ;-)

    I'll update tomorrow

    Sorry, was hectic yesterday!

I did mention it and she seemed impressed (I think) and didn't really ask me any questions about it.

I won't find out until next Friday, so just have to wait...

It is tough out there with plenty candidates chasing jobs as they appear. I strongly believe that any research you can do is an absolute neccessity. Answer what the interviewer asks and offer this information if it becomes relevant. I know it has happened already but this is something I feel strongly about.

    Hope the result was positive?

    Dave
